After sorting out some old files I came across this letter to my local MP in 1988. I was attempting to persuade him to vote against the privatisation of water. Apologies that I then worked with a 1980s dot matrix printer and an DOS 80/86 PC without Microsoft Word, so it's hardly legible, but I'm sharing it as it puts on the record my opposition to Water Privatisation before it happened in 1989...
My current view is that, once the private sector has stripped UK Water Company's of their assets and fleeced as much out of the consumer as they dare, then nationalisation of this essential public service is inevitable...
